The pre-treatment and post-treatment processes are fundamental in every galvanic process as they favor the adhesion and homogeneity of the deposit, preventing the onset of faults (glazing, peeling, pitting, etc.), and protecting against oxidation while increasing resistance to corrosion and wear. Other post-treatments on the other hand are used to create decorative effects such as bluing or aging.
The experience gained by Berkem in the most varied production lines has allowed the development of specific product lines for each metal to be treated.
